What Are Endoscopic Procedures?

Endoscopic urology means diagnosing and treating urinary tract problems using thin, flexible instruments (endoscopes) inserted through natural openings—eliminating large cuts. Laser procedures allow for pain-free, targeted treatment and faster return to daily life.

Common Procedures We Offer:

• Cystoscopy: Visual examination of the bladder and urethra. (Diagnosis and biopsies; monitoring stones, tumors, blockages)
• Ureteroscopy (URS): Treats ureteral and kidney stones using a thin camera/scope, often with laser fragmentation.
• Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL, Mini-PCNL): Removal of large and small kidney stones through a small skin puncture, usually with laser or ultrasound energy (PCNL for large stones, Mini-PCNL for smaller, less invasive).
• Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP, ThuLEP): Gold-standard for benign prostate enlargement; obstructing tissue is removed endoscopically. ThuLEP uses advanced Thulium laser for minimal bleeding and quick healing.
• Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT): Endoscopic removal of bladder tumors for diagnosis or cure.
• Optical Internal Urethrotomy (OIU/VIU): For treatment of urethral strictures, restoring urinary flow rapidly.
• Retrograde Pyelography: Imaging the ureter and renal pelvis in detail; aids diagnosis and guides interventions.
• Transurethral Incision of the Prostate (TUIP): For select patients with BPH.
